The Ghana Institute Of Surveyors Develops COVID-19 Tracing Mobile App.
In all effort to fight and combat the global pandemic coronavirus, the Ghana Institute Of Surveyors Develops COVID-19 Tracing Mobile App that will be supporting the tracing of suspected COVID-19 affected people in real-time.
According to the President of the Ghana Institute of Surveyors, Dr John Amaglo, he stated that the application is also able to help with the monitoring and evaluation of the disease situation in the country.
In addition, he added that the Institute together with build environment professionals have invented a system that will allow health authorities to easily find densely populated areas where the disease is spreading horizontally.
This will help health personnel to restrict entry and exit points and also create makeshift medical facilities to treat the affected people in the community. Dr John Amaglo, the President of the Ghana Institute of Surveyors, pointed out all these when they gave a cheque containing a sum of GHC 50,000 to the Chief of Staff, Mrs Akosua Frema Osei Opare, at the Jubilee House.
Not only this, but Dr John Amaglo also added that they are working closely with the technical team on COVID-19 and would soon make a presentation on the next step towards the adoption of the systems. He said, “If the systems were adopted, we should be ahead of the virus”.
Mrs Osei Opare, was very thankful to them and other companies that have supported the fight against the outbreak. Mrs Osei Opare then added, by saying that the systems invented by the Institution of Surveyors would go a long way to help if adopted adding that the President was working hard to ensure that the spread of the disease will be reduced.
She said, “Contact tracing was laborious and therefore the app that has been developed and any other invention would help a lot and are very welcome.”
In summary, with an effort to fight against the global pandemic virus, the Ghana Institute Of Surveyors Develops COVID-19 Tracing Mobile App as we hope to see more updates and changes from this.
