Steps To Follow In Creating A PayPal Account In Ghana
To create a PayPal account in Ghana, you first need to type this address in your browser. www.paypal.com/ls this will take you to the PayPal homepage.
Here you will see two options.
- PayPal for business
- Personal Account.
Select the business option and then you will be redirected to the signup page. Here you will be asked to first enter your email. Do as directed and once done click on the get started button.
Next, you will be taken to the main registration page. Fill in all the required fields. Once you reach the mobile section, you will see a Lesotho as the country code.
Click on the Lesotho flag and you will be listed with each country’s code. Locate Ghana and then click on it to select. Now continue with the rest of the field.
Once everything goes well, you should get your account register.
Now once you get the message telling you your account has been created, the next thing to do is to go to your email inbox and locate a message from PayPal that says confirm your account.
Open the mail and there you will see a link in the mail. Click on the link and you will be taken back to the PayPal page.
Here you will be asked to enter your password. Enter the exact password you entered when creating the account. If the password corresponds, then you will have access to the account.

To link a visa or master card to a PayPal account, you first need to have the card ready. There are many bank cards that you can use to link to your account. But the type of Visa card we will recommend is either UBA Africard, First Atlantic Bank Visa card, ADB Prepaid Card or Fidelity card.

To link a card to your account first you have to log in to the PayPal account. Once you are in your account look at the top right corner of the navigation you will see one red notification.
Click on it and you will see an indication that says link a card.
Once you click on that link, you will be redirected to the Next page.
Now fill in the required fields. All the information they required can be found on your card. Just make sure you enter the correct info and when done click on the link.
Now PayPal will send you a confirmation code in your card statement. If you are using the UBA Africard, all that you need to do is to log in to your online portal and look at the transaction section for the code.
The code comes in the form of PxxP. Copy only the numbers and then goes back to the link page and past the code to confirm.
Note! You will need at least $1.95 which is equivalent to GHS 12.00 in your account before you can link the card. The money will later be refunded t your account.
