Making a Google Doc landscape On A PC and Mac

  • Head to File > Page setup in the menu to create a Google Doc in landscape mode.
  • Select either the Portrait or Landscape orientation in the Page setup dialog box. Since we want landscape orientation, we choose landscape
  • Click OK to close.

Make landscape the default layout if you want to open future documents in that orientation. Prior to clicking OK and leaving, select the Set as default button.

  • In the top right corner of the screen, click the three dots.
  • Select Page setup from the side menu by moving down.
  • Click Orientation.
  • Press the top-left arrow to return to the document after choosing the orientation you wish to use.

How To Change the orientation of a selection

For bigger tables, charts, and illustrations, a single document may combine portrait and landscape formats.

  • Open a Google Docs document on your PC.
  • Right-click on the text or photo you would like to change the orientation of after highlighting it.
  • Choose either Change page to portrait or Change page to landscape.

How To Change the Orientation of A Section Or Multiple Sections

  • Start a Google Docs document on your PC.
  • To create numerous sections, choose the desired location.
  • Click On  Insert, then Break and then Section break
  • Select File, Page setup or Format and go to Page orientation to alter the orientation of the section.
  • If you just want the page orientation to apply to the selected part, set “Apply to” to “This section.” If you want to implement the page orientation to this and all succeeding sections, use “This section forward.”
  • Click on the orientation you want to use.
