NIA Extends Ghana Card Registration In Kumasi.

The Ghana Card registration for Kumasi, Ashanti Region, has been extended making it available for most people to register due to the Christmas break and holidays.

At previously, the deadline for the Ghana Card by the National Identification Authority was January 10 but has been moved to January 16, 2020.

According to the National Identification Authority (NIA), the extension was to cover the two (2) registration days that was lost in December 27th and 28th due to the Christmas holidays.

Based on a statement issued by the National Identification Authority (NIA), said the extension is also to compensate for the challenges that were encountered in the first two days of the exercise in the region. Thus, most Ghanaians who could not go through the process because of delayed registration equipment can now get the chance to do it.

Furthermore, from Ashanti Region, the next regions for the Ghana Card registration exercise to partake are the Central, Western and Western North Regions. February is the expected month for the registration to be conducted at Eastern Region through mid-March to confirm.
