How Much Money Does A Person Working In the Information Technology Make in Ghana?

In Ghana, the average monthly salary for an IT professional is roughly 5,090 GHS. However, the lowest average salary is 2,140 GHS, while the highest average salary is 7,100 GHS. Salary Comparison by Years of Experience

No matter how many hours are worked, salaries are fixed. Hourly jobs pay for each hour worked. The formula above is used to translate salary into hourly pay (assuming 5 working days in a week and 8 working hours per day which is the standard for most jobs). Information Technology Bonus and Incentive Rates in Ghana

In a study of IT employees, 55% stated they had not received any bonuses or incentives in the preceding year, while 45% claimed they had at least one financial bonus. Those who received bonuses said that they made up between 4% and 5% of their yearly salaries.

Salary Comparison by Education

Compared to their peers who simply completed high school, workers with certificates or diplomas make 17% more money on average.

Employees with bachelor’s degrees make 24% more money than those who were only able to obtain a certificate or diploma.

Master’s degree holders receive incomes that are 29% more than those with a Bachelor’s degree. The average salary for Ph.D. holders is 23% more than that of Master’s degree holders when working in the same field.
