Technology has advanced and almost every gadget around us can be linked together. For instance, we connect our TVs to our computers, we can connect our phones to our computers too. There are even smart TVs these days that can help us access files from our phones directly from our TVs.
Life becomes easier if you know how to interconnect all these gadgets together. Let us take a quick look at how to connect our phone to the computer so we can send & receive messages from our computer.
How To Send & Receive Messages on your computer
There are several ways you can send & receive messages from your computer. In this article, I will elaborate on three different ways you can do that.
Note that all the methods I will be revealing in this article are tested and working methods. However, you must have an active internet connection on both your phone and computer for this to work. You will also have to use a smartphone else these methods will not work.
1. Use Google Messages
The very first method is the simplest. All you have to do is to use Google Messages on both your phone and your computer. So let us look at how it is done.
First of all, download and install Google Messages which is a messaging app on your phone. It comes preinstalled on most Android phones.
If you have it, automatically, you should be able to read all your SMS from it. You will then head to https://messages.google.com/web. This will open a page similar to the one in the screenshot below.
After downloading Google Messages on your phone. Open it and click on the three dots at the top right corner. Select “Device pairing” from the dropdown menu.
Click on the “QR code scanner” button from the “Device pairing” dashboard. When done, it should open your camera and you should scan the QR code generator in your web browser on your computer to complete the pairing process. Note that both your phone and computer must be connected to the internet for this to work.
If everything is successful, you should be able to see your SMS in your web browser. You can read and reply to your messages from your web browser.
2. Use Intel Unison
One of the best options available is the Intel Unison app. This particular one will help you link your entire phone to the computer. You don’t get to only send & receive messages from your computer but you have full access to your phone from your computer. By full access, I mean you can access all your social media platforms as well as the files on your phone from your computer.
I have written a full article on how to sync your phone to your computer using Intel Unison. You should read it to learn more about the entire process.
3. Use Phone Link
Just like Intel Unison, Phone Link is a Microsoft app that helps you to link your phone to your computer. It makes you able to access everything on your phone from your computer. It works in a similar way to Intel Unison works.
To use this app, you must first download the Phone Link app from the Microsoft Store. When done, you must also install the mobile version of the app on your phone.
The next thing to do is to link the phone to the app using the QR code scanner available. When done successfully, you should be able to access everything on your phone from your computer.
You should also be able to send & receive messages from your computer. Always make sure both your computer and phone are connected to the internet before you start this whole process.
