From my experience as tech-savvy and the chat I have had with various Instagram and Facebook account hackers, I will divulge how possible it is to hack a Facebook or Instagram account with Two Factor Authentication turned on.

Instagram has Two-Factor Authentication features that users can activate by will. In fact, it adds another layer of security to your account but it does not mean your account can not be hacked.

- The first process of a hacker begins by gathering intelligence. Most hackers gather intelligence about their targets to know their movements, their interests and any flaws in their lifestyle they can capitalize on.

Since we are talking about Instagram, the hacker will befriend you and try to build a strong bond with you. This is to win your trust before executing the plan with your assistance.
- In the next stage, the hacker will execute the plan following these steps.
In order to prepare you for this stage, they could convince you that they are opening some sort of investment account for you for free. This is only to prepare your mind for the next stage.
- Since your Username is readily available on Instagram, the hacker will type your Username and click on Forgotten password.
After clicking on “Forgotten Password”, Instagram will send the security key to your registered phone number so you can reset your password.
- In this stage, the hacker will convince you by any means possible to send the code. This is made easier if the hacker prepares your mind earlier that they are registering something online for you.
- As soon as you send the code, the hacker will pass the security check, change the password, remove your email and block you. In truth, some people must be aware of being hacked. The hackers can hack their Instagram password easily by sending coders to them.
