Many people are wondering whether the Ghana telecom university is a public university or a private one; Well, the truth is that it name has been changed currently to Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) after the Government took over the institution in 2020 by the way of the Public Universities’ Bill passed. Therefore, the school is now under the Government of Ghana and also a public university now.

The University was founded in the year 2005 and now enrolling more than 5000 students under various programs, the university provides bachelor’s degrees and graduate programs particularly in Telecommunication Engineering and Information and Communication Technologies. It also offers certificate programs, with courses that provide credit for the bachelor’s degree, and other professional development seminars and workshops.Many people are desperate to know more about the fact that, Is Ghana Telecom University A Public University?
