Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Increases Ghana Passport Fees
Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Increases Ghana Passport Fees and Ghanaians will be paying additional money to the previously charged amount for Passport in Ghana.
Recently was when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration announced the updates involved to increase the cost for the travelling passport for Ghanaians.
With this, passport fees are now increased as this effect starting from February 1, 2020 was approved by the Ghanaian parliament for Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
If you are yet to apply for the Ghana Passport online for travelling purposes, then you should keep it in mind that the fees for the booklets with 32 pages which costed GHS 50 before is now GHS 100, and also a newly introduced 48 pages booklet that goes for GHS 150 making all the regular price for standard application for Passport.
Now, the expendited services for the booklet with 32 pages goes for GHS 150 and that of the 48 pages booklet costs GHS 200.
Though this increment came unexpected, this will make a lot of Ghanaians doubt whether this is true as the previous promise from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon. In summary, the initial price that costs GHS 50 for standard application is now GHS 100 while the expedited application costs GHS 150 respectively.
Note: The validity for the Ghana Passport still remain as 10 years before expiry.
