Would you like to switch to MTN eSIM on your smartphones? In this guide, I will show you how to switch to MTN eSIM on your smartphones and other relevant information you might need in course of this process.
Before getting started, kindly be informed that, the MTN eSIM is not compatible with all devices. Here is a list of Phones that supports the MTN eSIM. You MUST check your Phone’s compatibility before continuing any of the processes below.
You MUST also get a QR Code Scanner app fully installed on your phone. You may follow these steps to download and install the QR Code Scanner app if you haven’t already.
A: iPhone
- First, you need to get the QR code from our support team
- Go to Settings> Cellular Data / Mobile Data
- Tap add a cellular plan / Mobile Data Plan
- Scan QR code
In the case of new activation, registration will be done by the eSIM support team
B: Google Pixel
- From the Settings app, go to Network & internet and select Mobile Network
- Expand Advanced then press Carrier and Add Carrier
- Scan your QR code
In the case of new activation, registration will be done by the eSIM support team
C: Samsung Device
- From Settings go to Connection
- Select SIM Card Manager
- Scan your QR code
In the case of new activation, registration will be done by the eSIM support team.
Once activated, there will be an indication on the phone that shows that eSIM is active (this will depend on the label selected during the activation process eg. Primary, Secondary, Personal, Travel, etc.)
