How to Add Page Numbers in PowerPoint

Click on the “Header & Footer” button, which is located in the “Text” group of the “Insert” tab.

3. Choose the Slide Number Option

In the “Header & Footer” dialog box, choose the option for “Slide Number,” which will automatically insert the slide number onto each slide.

If you want to have the page number displayed on all slides except the first one, make sure to check the box next to “Don’t show on the title slide.”

4. Customize the Appearance

To customize the appearance of the slide number, click on the “Apply to All” button to add the number to every slide. Now, click on the “Slide Master” button, which is located in the “Master Views” group of the “View” tab.

5. Edit the Master Slide

In the “Slide Master” view, you can edit the slide master, which will change the appearance of every slide in your presentation.

You can change the font, size, and color of the slide number, as well as its location on the slide.

6. Save the Changes
