Facebook Is Set To Launch Its Coronavirus Info Centre In Ghana.

Facebook after its recent unveiling of coronavirus info centres across some seventeen countries found in Sub-Saharan Africa, the social media giant company is about to launch its coronavirus information centre in Ghana.

As an effort set by Facebook to help in fighting against the global pandemic coronavirus, Ghanaians can now acess the most recent news and information from the reputable health authorities across Ghana.

Not only recent news from health authorities in Ghana, but the information centre set to be launched by Facebook will also cover resources and tips for users to remain healthy while they support their family and community.

How to access the information centre in Ghana

The simple way to go about this, a Facebook user should simply opt in to follow the centre and receive notifications including daily updates in their News Feed from official government health authorities on time.

According to Adaora Ikenze, Facebook’s Head of Public Policy for Anglophone West Africa, stated that, “We’ve built the information centres in collaboration with national health partners, to ensure that people can get access to information from trusted health sources.”

“The launch of the COVID-19 Information Centre on Facebook in now more than 19 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa, including Ghana, further highlights our commitment in helping to provide accurate, timely information about the pandemic that is accessible to all communities.”

Facebook recent opened coronavirus information centre in Nigeria, other African countries and unveils a feature that lets people request or offer help to neighbours amid coronavirus outbreak.
