Empressleak Website Owner Granted GHS300,000 Bail

According to the recent report, it has been confirmed that, Empressleak Website Owner Granted GHS300,000 Bail by the Accra Circuit Court.

Called by the name Anderson Ofosuhene Anim, the founder of popular aduIt website in Ghana — Empressleak has been confirmed of granting GHS300,000 bail and addition of producing two sureties with property documents in his name to the court.

Not long ago was when Anderson Ofosuhene Anim alias Mario Gee was arrested over charges of money laundering, pornography and breach of provisions of cybercrime with his aduIt website, Empressleak in Ghana.

The prosecution revealed that Mr Anim’s website came under scrutiny from the Ghana Police for publishing pornographic related material of Ghanaians in a way of blackmailing them.

With this, Anderson Ofosuhene Anim is always reported to be taking money from victims to take down their videos or pictures from his website but refused to do so.

Going according to the rules of the nation — Ghana, Anderson Ofosuhene Anim (Mario Gee) is on charges of Publication of obscene material and general provision for cyber offence under section 280 of the criminal code 1950 and 123 of act 772, extortion under section 151 of act 29 1960 and Money laundering section 1(a) of the anti-money laundering, Act, (Act 749).

The prosecutor, Inspector Princess Tetteh Boafo told the court presided over by Her Honour Susana Aduful that, the case docket has been sent to the Attorney General’s Department waiting for its advice.

The case of Anderson Ofosuhene Anim has been adjourned to October 12, 2020 for final judgement.
